Gethsemane Prayer

Gethsemane Prayer   John 17:11  『 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name(En to onomati number) those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 』 Jesus died on the cross and returned to the original kingdom of God. The disciples are in the world, and they ask to be preserved in the name of the Father.  『 En to onomati su ( ἐ ν   τ ῷ   ὀ ν ό ματ ί   σου ) 』  means to be preserved in the name (ho logos) that you possess. Those who are in Christ, the Word, are being preserved by God the Father. That is why the saints become one with God, and the saints become one with each other. This is the theory of the Trinity. John 17:14  『 I have given them thy word (ton logon number); and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 』 Those who live by the word of Ho Logos (those who believe in the cross and ...

In order to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit

In order to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit   Baptism is a ritual of going into water and coming out. In John 3:5, Jesus said,  “ Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ”  Water does not mean washing away sins, but symbolizes the death of the body of sin. In other words, going into water means dying in union with Jesus who died on the cross. In Romans 6:4,  “ Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, even so we too should walk in newness of life. ” Coming out of the water symbolizes resurrection. Romans 6:5 says,  “ For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united with him in the likeness of his resurrection. ”  Being united with resurrection is called the baptism of the Holy Spirit. However, those who are baptized today do not know exactly about the ...

Jesus heals a man who was blind from birth

Jesus heals a man who was blind from birth   John 9:1-3 『 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 』 In this question, the disciples asked Jesus, "Is it because of sin that a person was born blind?" In other words, is it because of the sin of his parents or his own sin? The body of sin is passed down from the parents. However, this does not mean that sin is passed down, but that the body containing sin is passed down from the first man, Adam. "His own sin" means that there was already some sin before birth. It refers to the original sin committed in the kingdom of God. It is the crime of evil angels who did not keep their position. Therefore, God confined the spirits that committed sin in the body. The spirits t...

God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.   Mark 12:26-27 『 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err. 』 This article is a quote from Exodus 3:15, “ And God said moreover to Moses, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. 』 The people of Israel cried out to God in Egypt. So the Lord God said that He heard their cry. When God made a covenant with Abraham, He promised land and descendants, and He continued this covenant with Isaac and Jacob. The Lord God shows that He is not someone who forgets a covenant after making it, but someone who...

Beware of false prophets and false teachers.

Beware of false prophets and false teachers.   1. The story of the fallen angel 2 Peter 2:4  『 For if God spared not (Epeisato) the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell (Tartarosas), and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment. 』 Episato ( ἐ φε ί σατο ) means not sparing. Tartarus ( ταρταρ ώ σα ς ) means after being thrown into prison. Regarding the angels who sinned, it is the same concept as the angels who did not keep their positions in Jude 1:6. They are those who wanted to be like God and opposed God. It is because they had a greed in their hearts to become like God. This story is the same story as the incident of eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden. The reason why the story of evil angels comes up as the story of the Gnostics suddenly unfolds is because the judgment of those who advocate Gnosticism is like God not forgiving the angels who sinned, but throwing them into prison a...

The adulterous woman

The adulterous woman   John 8:3-5 『 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst of her, they said unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? The scribes and Pharisees ’  purpose in bringing up this issue was not really to find an answer to the question of the woman ’ s fornication, but to find fault with Jesus ’  answer. If Jesus had taken pity on the woman who had been captured and told her to let her go, they would have criticized Jesus for claiming to be the Son of God but not following the law. On the other hand, if Jesus had told the woman to be stoned according to the law, then since Israel was under the rule of the Roman Empire at the time, this would have been a violation of Roman law, which prohibited any nationality from imposing their own death sentences. This would have also p...

The Image of God and Our Own Image

The Image of God and Our Own Image   Colossians 1:15 says, "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:" 2 Corinthians 4:4 also speaks of the image of God: "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." God created the first man to reveal himself in the form (image) of a sinner. The first man is the image of God. God has no form. The form means the body, like clothing. Saying that God took on a body means that God came in a fleshly body. The first man was God Himself who went into the dust and became a man in order to give man a body of sin. The first man was created in the image of God. However, he had a body of sin. Therefore, the one who came in the flesh to break the chains of the body of sin was Jesus. The first man and Jesus were God who came in the form of a sinner.   Jesus Christ is refer...
